Bump Stocks Anyone?

Speed is Fine, Accuracy is final....but accurate hits at extremely high speed is final much faster.
I don't think you understand, these boys killed my dog!
Taking the gun off safe increases the velocity by 100%

Pistol braces are the bigger deal in my mind and I hope this ruling benefits them.

That’s a lot of legal jumbo jumbo to me, what’s the short version?
I’m assuming bump stocks are legal now?

I think the ruling only applies to the 5th circuit, but IANAL.

Correct. We expect SCOTUS likely to take up this case as there is a split amongst the circuits - we'll see where appeals go.

Short version, one federal court ruled that the BATFE can't simply decide administratively that bump stock = machine gun, Congress would have to pass a bill saying so. (Also, half or more of the judges objected on additional grounds- see link).
