For what it's worth, the ACLU of Minnesota submitted written testimony and testified against several gun control bills this past legislative session, including UBCs and Red Flag Gun Confiscation.

From my reading, the ACLU gets involved when it’s another issue that impacts gun rights.

So red flag was more about lack of due process than it was that you have a right to defend yourself.

The initial posting here was more about 1st amendment issues (porn) than the second amendment issues.

They certainly did not get involved in the right to have a gun cases in NYC or Chicago, as examples.

They are AWOL about hunting as well.

The ACLU very distinctly believes that there is a hierarchy of rights- some are more important than others, even if they don’t state that.
