Is this email legit?

It purports to be from Erich Pratt and Gun Owners of America. However the actual source of the email is GOA@gunownerusa. That isn't those jerks from Iowa is it?

It linked to a petition your congresspersons on the subject of the veteran gun ban. Seemed straightforward enough, and heavily used the GOA name and graphics. But it somehow didn't look quite like the ones that GOA has sent me before. It was only then that I doublechecked the email origin address.

I think you're good; if only because the scammers likely wouldn't be putting forth any effort that didn't immediately reward them financially.
