PAY IT FORWARD

Postby HeadHunter on Sat Oct 27, 2012 12:35 pm

I would like to start a pay-it-forward thread. I've seen them on other forums and I think its a great way to help out your fellow shooter....and clean out your gun room. The way it works: you post up something you don't need/use to pass on to another shooter for FREE. The only thing is you should try to pass on something of yours for FREE if you collect on something here. If shipping is needed that is worked out between yourselves. This is not meant as a trade thread. Lets just keep all the items right here in this thread. I have not seen a pay it forward thread on here and if there is please let me know.

This thread will be based off of your own integrity, only you will know if you collected on something and don't pass on something later. Passing something on does not need to be done immediately....only you will know!

Ill start, I have a brand new Blackhawk shoulder holster for a full size pistol with dual mag pouch on the other side. I have no use for it and I'm really not sure where it came from, its black nylon. It looks complete. Its FREE to anyone that can use it. As I clean things out I will add more to this thread.

I may be wrong, but I haven't seen a PIF thread on here either yet and think it's a great idea. I've participated with them in other forums and have gotten quite a few really nice things from them. I'll pass on a suggestion for shipping that we do on my other forums... Shipping is taken care of by the "giver". Yes I know, it sucks that you're giving something away "and" you have to pay shipping to do it, but you don't have to pay shipping for the next item that you recieve then.

Unless its something large/heavy, then we stated in the post that we would like some money from the taker to help cover shipping cost.

Also, it's nice to post a pic the item you're giving away.

I don't need the holster but Im sure someone will grab it soon. Hopefully we can get this thread going. My other forum has over 400 posts on that thread so there's been lots of good stuff given away!

Yea I've seen that too where the giver pays shipping too but figured since we are fairly local most things could be handed off.

I know I have a bunch of old scope mounts for 22's that are real old collector type mounts, not sure what rifle they would be for but once I get home I'll post them up, free to someone that can use them.

I like the idea of the giver covering shipping. It would be nice to be included in the pay it forward thread, since I'm not living in the Metro.

I've got a few things I'll offer up too, so long as this thread doesn't get locked or I get a warning. I'll try to list them tomorrow.

Up for grabs.
I have a Fobus paddle holster for 1911 full size (I'm sure other sizes fit) and a double mag carrier for single stack mags. I used this setup for USPSA this summer so it is gently used but completely functional. The holster does have adjustable retention.

First "ill take it" gets it.

So what are you offering up?
Wrap that around your overly muscled left wing and row your dinghy in counterclockwise circles as a result.

Offer retracted. Too many rules, not enough good faith.

in previous PIF threads I have been a part of the person that takes a PIF post up next on his or her honor. make sure you are a man/woman of your word and try to post something up shortly after you speak up for the item you are taking. Also, if the person offering the item don't pay shipping, I guess it's a horse a piece to me, but would it truly be Pay it Forward? In theroy everyone pays shipping because they are posting something up after they take something

So what are you offering up?

No one ever said you had to offer up something right away.

I have a standard AR-15 grip, 4 cheap UTG rail covers and a brand new still in the package bottle/pen of Kleen Bore Formula 3 gun conditioner if anyone wants to come to Jordan and get it or pay for shipping it is all yours, I don't care if you have anything to offer or if I get anything in the future but I definitley don't need this at all and will post up anything else I find laying around.

Edit:
I also have 4 brand new in the package Butler Creek flip up scope covers for the eye piece with the red button to flip. They are sizes 09 eye 1.468' 37.3mm, 17 eye 1.675" 42.5mm, 18 eye 1.7" 43.2mm and 20 eye 1.775" 45.1mm. Please make sure if you are gonna take any of these that they are the actual size you need and you aren't gonna just try them out and end up selling them if they don't work.
