I follow this page.
http://www.rifle-company.com/phpbb3/vie ... f=35&t=431

It's listed mainly for 7.62 nato, but they tend to offer these also. Just not is such a nice list.

Best deals I have been finding most of the time is at http://www.wideners.com/

For .223/5.56, AIM has Wolf at 2k/$399, delivered.

You really can't beat that.

They had a pretty good price on Aguila .45, as well...I think in 1K lots it was under $300...even Tula @ wallyworld is more expensive.

Thanks for the ideas.. I found the 45.acp. Now I really would like to find a local who just wants to get rid of some of his ammo. Just can use steel core at the range... Someone has some...

http://www.aimsurplus.com/product.aspx? ... =WPA+(Wolf)+.223+55gn+FMJ+20rd+Box&groupid=21

1k--.19 per round before delivery.

With delivery--.21 per round (that's delivered to my zip code...yours may be dfferent).

You aren't going to find a better deal.

And no, Wolf isn't steelcore. It's a jacketed lead cored bullet, like most other rounds out there.

My only hang up would be the steel case. Its a hell of a deal just dont want it to cause problems later on down the road. I try to shoot 4-500 round a week. So wear on the gun needs to be thought about.

What kind of a gun, Barrels are cheap in the long run. Save 30 or forty bucks a month and by the time you've worn out a chamber you are way ahead. Kart barrels can be found for a 1911 for about a honey bee and a half. Figure your savings from that.

Sorry, but steelcased ammo being damaging is a myth. Usually, when people try and blame it, there's something else going on (read: user error) that they don't want to acknowledge. Easier to just blame the ammo...

But, it's your stuff; do what you want.

I think AIM had PMC .223 brass cased for around .31 delivered.
