Gun Belts On Clearance

Postby DanM on Fri Oct 21, 2011 11:10 am

Just found and ordered a gun belt on clearance through Streicher's; 5.11 Tactical Detailed Leather Belt, regularly $39.99 on sale for $4.88. Here's a link:

http://www.policehq.com/Products/RR-59502

I stopped by at lunch, but they didn't have any in the clearance room. Must be on-line only. Enjoy! ;)

PS Shipping starts at $6.99 :)

These belts WERE on clearance on the 5.11 official site for 5.99 a while ago.

They are good. Hold a full size carry gun just fine....nice and stiff!

My belt is kinking at the "daily wear" belt hole and the exterior finish is not very durable (it scratches VERY easy)

For the price, buy 10 and be set for a while. See the 5.11 home site for sizing that is actually correct.

Pick your size FIRST. They do the style and colors.

I've worn mine for years. I like it. It is thinner than most of my other gun belts.

Kinda strange site.
Working from the bottom up will work.
If you want to change size or color I had to either back out or reload the page.

Yes, then it does work.

A quick search for "5.11 belt size information" found this 5.11 size page. Scroll to the bottom for belts:

http://www.gtdist.com/511-sizingchart-all.htm

Oh heck, I'll just cut and paste the belt sizes:

Belt Sizing
S 28-30
M 32-34
L 36-38
XL 40-42
2XL 44-46
3XL 48-50
4XL 52-54

Google is your friend! :P

I ordered 2 in black and received an email today saying they cannot find any in brown. I replied, waiting on a response.

I talked to Bill Egan with Streicher's and it appears that it was some kind of glitch in their system. As I originally did, placed my order from the top down when selecting options is showed they only had a small brown in stock, which was probably true. But then as suggested I selected the options from the bottom up and there was all sorts of sizes and colors, so I placed an order. I had gotten the same e-mail as others and called the 800 number which got me in touch with Bill Egan. I mentioned the bottom to top when selecting belt options when I talked to Mr. Egan and he thinks that is where the problem was, it allowed orders to be placed on stock that didn't exist. He said he was going to talk to he web site people to see if this indeed was the problem and correct it.
