I'm no longer in the single stack 1911 game. I have three Colt mags(1@7-2@8 rounders) all with correct marking, font and 'prancing pony'. One matte stainless, polished stainless and one blue finish. All are like new with only faint marks on the one. Pics are poor quality will repost proper pics on request. SPF Thanks-J

This may sound like a stupid question to many of you... but I am new to the 1911 game. Picking up my first one Saturday. From what I gather, so many 1911 parts such as mags and grips are interchangeable among different manufacturers, as long as it's a "standard" 1911. Do you know if these mags would work properly in a Ruger SR1911?

Thanks

New photos of the followers added. These are from Colt 70-80 series pistols I have owned. The brite finish SS mag came from a Colt Gold Cup I bought new from Will Penney (Bills) one of the only NIB guns I have ever purchased from a dealer. I do recall in the 80's these were very expensive mags purchased from Colt. I suspect the ones now are somewhat more 'tinny' construction. The blued mag is from a 70 series for sure while the the brushed SS I'm unsure of the series-I think was later production 70 series also.
