$50 to cut a new gas block seat and drill gas port. $40 to cut, crown, and thread a barrel. That's for a bare barrel handed/shipped to me ready to machine.
So if you want a 7.5" barrel, first you need to make sure the barrel has enough meat to go down to .750 or .625 for the gas block, and it would be $90. If you just want to lop off the end of a 16" barrel it would be $40, but you'd get a 11 degree target crown out of it too.
I won't mess with a complete upper or front sight post. I don't want to be responsible for scratches or any issues with the barrel nut or taper pins.
