WTB inexpensive gun safe/locker

Postby Stradawhovious on Thu Jan 01, 2009 2:22 pm

Looking to buy an inexpensive gun locker/safe i.e. the stackon 14 gun "safe". Doesn't need to be fire rated, just needs to hold a handful of long guns. Not looking to spend a ton of cash, would like to keep in the $50 - $75 range, must be able to be locked.

Let me know if you have something you aren't using.
Thanks

they got gun "lockers" on sale at the moment in fleet farm, they run right around the $75 mark. Heavier gauge than a filing cabinet, hold about 25ish long guns and there is a top shelf in the unit. i had one, they are just fine at their job

Are you talking about the one in the ad? Looks like it holds a couple 10 or more guns less than 25..... :?

That savage doesn't look too bad, I wonder if they have it in .223 :hmm:

That Savage is a rimfire. They make it in 22lr too. The .223 is whole different lock, stock and barrel.

No pun intended of course

I have seen a similar looking (black synthetic stock, blued with the accutrigger) Savage in .223........ if they have one , and it's reasonable I might just have to go home with it. Since all my other guns are at the bottom of the lake, I wouldn't want an empty gun cabinet now, would I?

So I guess it's just not possible that Savage makes a bolt action rifle in .223 huh? Well excuse the hell outta me. :P

You guys need to start being more careful with these statements. I'm sure that there is a DNR fine for losing guns in a lake. Furthermore, there may be a reward for turning in those who have scuttled their arsenal in the lake. :cogitating:
