I have no legal restrictions against owning guns. I have no criminal record on file, and I'm trying to keep it that way.

Put the Effing gun out of reach, better yet in a case, like has been explained in this thread several times. LEO's want it safely stored. Nobody is going to sit you on the side of the road and split Effing hears about whether your case is "compliant or not". What crap. You rubber band a wash cloth around a shotgun and call that a case? You are an idiot and the cop will inform you. You put it in anything that looks closely like a case? You are fine. Or, get a permit, and you're fine. If your relatives are concerning you about transporting your guns, then why the Eff would you put them in that situation? Ridiculous thing to dwell on.

You ask for LEO's or anyone that has dealt with this problem? Well, no response, because for 99.9987 percent of people it isn't a problem. Stop making things harder than they need to be.

I made an educated estimate. I suspect the % of normal people in this case is actually much closer to 100% but I thought I would leave some margin for error as a true statistic should.

And how many ways does he have to ask a question that raises enough eye brows that he can't get that he's making himself a target.

IF he is sooo unsure about what he is doing. He shouldn't do it until someone sits down with him face to face and says, "hey, this is the way things are."

If he can't do that, then he gets what he asks for.

He's done it all, teaches cops how many times in courts. Knows more than LEO's and the courts and attorney's who spent a LOT of time getting licensed...

I don't doubt that at all, especially coming from you, but then it's really in his best interest to take the time to listen to those around him with the knowledge to answer his questions, and steer him in the right direction (myself not included. I don't even listen to me.). This was attempted in the "Gas Station Hold Up" thread, and he simple pissed all over any attempt to answer or direct. Same went for other threads, which lead to the rain of beratement here over the same type of behavior. I firmly believe that if fj wants to learn and participate here, he can. And successfully. It's less important to know what you do know, than it is to know what you DON'T know. It took me a while to learn that lesson, but if I can figure it out, anyone can.
