S&W 60 IWB Holster Ideas

Postby vertstang on Tue Feb 02, 2010 9:35 pm

Greetings!

Just completed my P2C (ttousi~Great guy! Great course!) and submitted for my permit ( Washington County) I have a few questions for ya'll.

1. What is a good IWB holster for a S&W 60 ( 2 1/8" barrel)?
2. Is there a place that has a variety to look at so I don't spend $100.00 on something I don't like?

Thanks in advance!

I made my first IWB holster from scrap leather, a broken tape measure and some rivets (still using it 2 years later). That one cost about $5 for a hole punch.

Locally this guy is good and everywhere.

Just got done making my first holster out of some pieces I picked up cheap at axman.

Took it down to Gray's Leather to have Dave (owner) sew it up for me for 5 bucks. He's also got belt clips, rivets, chicago screws - pretty much everything you could want. EXCELLENT experience with him - very knowledgeable and willing to explain/instruct (and he's a gun guy!). But make sure he's there when you go (call ahead), as his wife holds down the fort, but doesn't sew.

I know these don't meet your criteria, but

I'm not all that impressed with the crossbreed I tried for the 1911. The holster felt great, but it also squeaked. I also didn't like how the slide protruded beyond the kydex, as that would eventually mean the slide would wear a hole in my jeans.
