ARMSTEC, INC. SHOTGUN SPEED LOADER????

Postby Gecko, Extra Crispy on Tue Feb 01, 2011 10:08 pm

Has anyone tried one of these?

Trying to decide if it's worth it over running Cal Comp Works 12ga tactical shell carriers

When they work they could be considered a neccesity to be competitive in open. I don't recall a serious open competitor not using them. They do take a bit of practice to get consistent with them. You don't see people fumble with them as much as you used to. Don't know if the shooters got better or if the loaders got better. But it's still always fun to point and laugh when shells go flying everywhere but in the gun. Of course, the same can be said for those of us that load one at a time.

I have some for one of my Benellis but never really got around to playing with them, much.
Yeah, but I shoot with THIS hand.

They are speed loaders, and as such using them will put you open.

We still kid Bob Mills about being featured on the How NOT to use shotgun speedloaders portion of Shooting USA a few years ago. They showed him dumping tube after tube on the ground and then they cut to somebody else to show how it should be done.

Jerry does seem to have the technique figured out though with keeping the gun shouldered and stuffing the speedloader weakhand. Absolutely frickin amazing.
Yeah, but I shoot with THIS hand.

Will have to agree whit kieth. They either work or they don''t. Doesn't seem like there is much middle ground. And, Yeah it's real funny when they don't,as long as it's someone else.

I bought one seems to work very well but I can see that the aluminum funnel made by Arrendondo is kinda required to get the feed angle correct. Just hope mine shows up before the match next weekend.
