This is what I am trying out right now. It is easy to wash as there is no leather piece, but it has great retention. Rides higher up than a belly band, so it limits movement of the firearm. I get very sweaty where it comes into contact with me as it is under my armpit. I am carrying a Glock 27 with CeraPlate coating because of the sweat. I will be checking in on the internal part wear at the end of this year (approx 6-month use).
Hello all, new guy here and I was wondering if this type of rig would work while snowmobiling? A bit of backround here. I ride, I ride a lot. It's nothing for me to put on 100 miles after work a couple of times a week and all day on the weekends. I once spent an unarmed night in the wilderness due to a breakdown and that was the impetus for me to get a PTC. My usual riding outfit is winter weight Carhartts with a tight snowmobile jacket over the top. I tried an Uncle Mikes tactical shoulder holster last year for my XD but didn't like the fit and I struggled to zip the riding jacket all the way up to the neck.
In another post I saw someone mention the "dreaded box of holsters" and I'm looking to keep my collection to a minimum.
Thanks for any imput you may give and if you're looking for someone to ride with this winter just ask!
