The Sportsman's Guide retail store...

Postby Doc Harvey on Fri Nov 25, 2011 5:35 pm

...has ALL clothing at 60% off today (just the retail store, not online). My wife even purchased a Danish surplus wool trench coat! I drove out today to pick up a TAPCO Intrafuse stock (unfortunately not on sale today) and brought the wife along just for S&G's, and she ends up buying stuff....who'd a thunk it? She even bought me a German milsurp, olive drab pullover sweater that was $4.00. Anyway...they're open till 6:30 tonight and 5:00 PM tomorrow. The sale will still be on tomorrow. Lots of camo jackets/shirts/pants, etc.

I picked up a new winter coat wednesday at their normal 33% off and saw the notice. The wife told me that if we were in town we'd have to come out.

I'll have to check that out sometime because their shipping & handling charges + the sales tax you get dinged for is absolutely ridiculous.

You'll only save on the shipping. The tax is still there and you cannot use your members discount on items picked up in the store. Also, not everything sold in their catalog is available in the store.

I'm no longer a member because they didn't honor their own policies, LONG story.

They have excellent prices from time to time on surplus military (mostly communist) ammo. I go down Concord a lot so I've been stopping in whenever I need something for my old Russian guns.

Lot of close out prices but you need to watch for them as many are still at retail. Usually have sign that says so. Just picked up a couple truck mirror extensions that where originally $45 each for slightly less than $30 a pair OTD.

Usually at least one thing they had way too much of that is super cheap. Last month was close outs of trail cameras of all qualities from $20 to $200.

If nothing else some great drooling 8-)

All I can say is that the 5 or 6 times I've been there they have given me my members discount.

I still have to try this at some point soon. It appears that the members discount in the store is solely dependant on which employee rings you up.

Question, did you preesnt your Club card at the back counter, or at the front register?

Front register. And I've also been able to use the $10 coupons that come in the renewal packet. A couple times I didn't have my card, they just looked up my membership for me.
