I missed out on the Winchester bulk .22 by 10 minutes today at Cabela's. Did get 1 box of 100rnds Remington .22lr though. Plus loaded up with a box each of some .45,.357,.9mm,.380 and a lbs of Win760 powder.

People were flying in there, I was following a guy in a White Ford Focus all the way up 94 at 80mph, he was weaving in and out of traffic like a man on fire just to get there.

There were a few 500 rd bulk boxes of 230gr MC 45ACP Rem UMC at BP Fleet Farm for $229 today.
I brought one home, could split it if anyone has a need.

I was just running 70mph in the far left lane but he kept getting jacked up by traffic in the other two lanes, he didn't get by met till we got to the Rogers exit where I have never been through yet since they redid it. I was in the right lane which would have dumped me onto 101 N, he burned by me so I pulled into that lane and followed him.. He was just flying up that service road till a semi blocked him from going faster.

I followed him into the store right up to the 22lr ammo shelf.

Friday Saturday & Sunday each morning Gander & Cabelas both had .22LR avail single and bulk packs, however... no major bulk packs at Gander this morning and Cabela's 2100 count for $119.99 was a far better deal than Gander's 1600 count for less fps rounds. The 100 count cci's were refreshing to see at Gander but limit was one per. Cabela's had some very cool Limited Edition Winchester wooden boxes with SuperX 36GR 1280fps 500 count small arms ammunition inside. Lots and lots of 9mm .40 & .45, .38 & .380 at both stores. No 10mm other than PD rounds :(

Ganders crowd at opening bell began hours before. No stopping for me, was in the morning before and lucked out with a ammo can of .22LR (24) boxes snatched up in 5 minutes. I heard the line to the door stretched clear across the parking lot to the far corner. Sunday AM was at Cabela's- nice over hang kept us out the rain and a dozen benches to sit :)

Well hopefully people got their fill of ammo around here this weekend with the GM and Cabela's inventory increase. Maybe now it can stay on the shelves a little longer so it doesn't have to be a treasure hunt.

Various flavors still hard to find. Scored my first .22LR Remington Golden Bullets at Fleet Farm this morning :D drove into work to find out it was my holiday off. Woot. Woot. So, a ammo hunting I went. Counter boy at FF informed me there were 6 boxes put out an hour earlier. These had not just come in but were "unpicked up" by folks had them ordered and didn't come for them. Got the last one. Hehe

That's good news. Maybe if they ever get bricks of Blazers, Federal Bulk and Min-Mags back in stock, the prices will be the same or close to what they were before the shortage.

So there I was, forced to be at the Bloomington Wally World. The only good thing was that they had a trail cam on sale. Then I looked over longingly at the ammo case, and what did I see? The holy grail, BULK PACKS OF .22LR! I managed to track down someone to open the case and immediately grabbed two boxes. I could have had 3 but I won't contribute to the problem and left some for someone else.

So if you saw me walking around the Bloomington Walmart with a woody, don't worry, it wasn't because of the hot chics there...LOL

BTW, when I left a 1/2 hour ago, there were still almost 10 left...

Anyone here have a good source for defensive ammo? I'm specifically looking for Federal HST or Speer GoldDot, both in 9mm. I normally buy from Streichers, but they say they are backordered 6-12 months on all ammo.

edited to add caliber

Might help to specify the caliber and bullet weight you are looking for.
