greg schneller auctions has a gun safe auction ending on april 30th.. usually his stuff is demo/salesman samples. could be worth checking out.

and for those without a fire proof safe.. here is a picture of what's left of some guns that went through an fire and weren't in a safe. I picked these up at an auction thought i could make some display type things with em.

Already purchased as noted in previous post. Nick of time movers where quick and ready for the odd ball steps etc. 1 hour from bottom of steep driveway to the basement. $350.

well in that case.. pick up a backup safe for the primary safe in-case the lock jams. moving those things is no joke.. hiring people seems to be the smart play

Had every intention of moving my safe myself until they put it in my garage. Called a piano mover and 4 big guys showed up and carried my 1000+ lb safe up and down the stairs, best $300 I ever spent. They could have removed the door but chose not to.

I had the delivery guys take the feet off and leave it out from the wall a little so I could run the power cord. It was hard enough to slide 800lbs a few inches on the carpet to get it pushed into the corner after I wired it. I could not imagine trying to get that thing in the house myself. Delivery guys were money well spent.
