Comp-Tac MTAC or Galco Skyops for G27?

Greetings:

I'm looking for a holster that will completely conceal a Glock 27 while wearing jeans and a tucked-in shirt. Putting it in the Smart Carry makes me cast a shadow, even though sadly there's not much competing with it for space. Given the thickness of the G27, perhaps there's no such holster that really and truly makes it and the holster clips disappear, but the MTAC and Skyops seem the most promising. I have experience with neither and wonder which one--or another one--you would recommend.

Have you thought of the Crossbreed super tuck deluxe ???

I tried a ctac and hated it, then i got a Crossbreed and found it musch more comfortable. I woul;d suggest a look at them as a choice of holster to buy.

I'd go with the MTAC over the Skyops, I like the idea of kydex holding the gun in as well as the split loops which thins the overall holster out. I considered the Skyops for a long time before deciding against it once I found out that it only comes with a 1.25" Y-clip and it's another 20 for a 1.5. I carry in a C.T.A.C. whenever I can that becomes almost invisible with a G31 in it, whether tucked or not. You're more than welcome to try my CTAC for a few days and see if it's something that would work for you, the only difference between it and the MTAC is that the MTAC has a leather backing on it, in fact the MTAC is almost exactly like a Crossbreed Supertuck or a Tucker "Answer".

I am very grateful for your replies. As it turns out, I traded in the G27 and got a Colt New Agent instead. Dang, that thing seems nice--and not so bulky. I am a 1911 rookie.

Thank you for the welcome! I haven't even been able to take it to the range yet. Having heard about reliability issues with 3" 1911s, I hope this one's OK. The model has received good reviews so far. And it's unlike anything I've had so far--like a gun with a metal receiver, and soul! The Glock 30 may indeed have soul, though, or at least soleplates on the mags. Soon I'll be pestering you folks with all sorts of basic questions (like an easier way to re-insert that dang slide-lock pin), and I look forward to your wisdom and wisecracks!
