Knife Sheath

Postby goalie on Mon Nov 12, 2007 8:01 pm

OK, I have a favorite knife for hunting. It's a Helle Godbit, and I somehow managed to cut the thread that the sheath is sewn together with.

Where would one go about getting the materials to re-sew the sheath together, or, would it be easily doable to have someone make me a custom sheath for it in the TC metro area?

It turns out that what you have is less important than what you do with it.

for real Leather sewing supplies, try Tandy leather, they have the stuff,

IF you are finding that you are cutting the stitching a lot, the wire Idea (substituting something softer like copper or monel wire,) would be a good idea, I have a couple of old Marples sheaths that have soft wire stitching in the top.
