ruger 10/22 sights

i just picked up a ruger 10/22 is has the scope base and scope, but if i take out the scope, i can't see the sights with the base on. does anyone know where i could pick up some new sights that i would be able to use with the scope base on?

I hate see through rings personally if you buy a decent scope you shouldn't need to use the sights but .....'teva. Everyone has their own opinion or Weaver wouldn't be able to sell an a$$ load of these every year

I have a set of see thru rings that bolt right to the reciever that I took off the last 10-22 I bought, I too dispise these things. If you want em they are free, I'm in NE MPLS. 612 978 1524

They keep you from getting a good cheek weld on the stock so your head is un supported. If rain or snow puts you'r scope out of use usually thr irons are full of water or gobbed up with snow also, the answer is scope caps or covers.

I had a set like those Weavers - but mine were made by Leupold *I think* and attached directly to the receiver sans base mount. I couldn't see the rear sight (I have Williams Firesights on currently) at all, so they were useless to me. Turns out I don't like mine scoped anyhow!

quick look @ Brownells.com, they have a lot of stuff, or William's Gun Sight, from my Wolverine home.
