I need a new belt!

Postby Wadero on Tue Mar 18, 2008 10:49 am

I know I have seen this kind of thread before but I couldn't find it again.

But I need a 1 1/4 belt that looks somewhat everyday, not dress. Where does everyone here order from?

Go to Streichers and ask for a G&G dress belt with a stiffener. $40 OTD
-Get a rope Tuco.

That's the one I was looking at before. So I just ordered it now. Thanks!

For next time you need a belt, go check out Tucker Gun Leather. He makes some awesome stiff leather belts.

The Beltman

I have 2 belts from them, both of them are 1.5" double bullhide leather with plastic insert (no velcro). Oh, and if anyone tells you that 1.5 inch belts are too big for dress, tell them to piss off. I roll these belts with Gianluca Isaia suits and Edward Green shoes. No one in this state can tell the difference between a 1.25" dress belt and 1.5" belts and the little .25" difference helps rocking a P14-45.

Boo-Yah!!

Yeah, I just had to order one quick since I am out of state and I was having trouble finding anywhere with decent carry options here. So I ordered the one from Streichers but I will check out the rest for more options.

I got a $10 belt blank from Tandy, dyed and finished it, seems to work just fine. Heck of a lot stiffer than the $13 Walmart one I had.
My $0.02

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Srigs to anyone. If it's something he can't do, he'll say so. If it's something he's interested in doing but hasn't, you'll know and get to help brainstorm it.

Cabela's has a double thick belt, that it does not call a gun belt, but its really a good deal for under 30 dollars. I have had one now for three years that I wear with my work pants and I save the milt sparks belt for dress. I believe they have black and brown available. I am on a lousy dial up connection other wise I would link to it, but it takes forever for this connection to do anything. (back water florida telcom leaves something to be desired)
