Strad's Mosin/rifle table sale review/info

Postby wildfan1 on Wed Oct 31, 2012 11:04 am

My opinion violated the terms of use in the Marketplace. And being the straight shooter I am, I want to abide by the rules. I have been assured that posting my opinion here is hunky-dory and does not violate any rules of the forum or decorum.

I just wanted to post my $0.02 on the Mosin/rifle table Stradawhovious has for sale in the Marketplace here. If you are considering buying this piece, you will NOT be disappointed. I met Strad last week as he was the intermediary for an ammo purchase I made when I couldn't connect with the seller. First let me say that Strad is a class act all the way. Great guy, friendly as they come, salt of the earth guy. And what a collection of Mosin's.

But that table...its a work of military art. It is beautiful. The pictures do not do it justice at all. When he posted the pics, I recalled his thread when he was building it and thought it was such a cool idea. Once I saw he was selling it, after I picked my jaw off the floor and changed underwear from excitement, lol, I happened to be on the phone with my wife. I had every intention of snapping it up immediately. See the fact i have nowhere to put it is of no concern to me. IT'S COOL AS HELL! So I intended to grab it, space or not. Unfortunately (or perhaps fortunately) I was on the phone with my wife, and told her of my plan. She made it known in no uncertain terms that if I brought it home, it would be my new bedroom...in the garage.

Long story short...I am quite sad I cannot snap this table up. But anyone who is considering it, DO IT. It is cool as hell. It doesn't look at all like someone just slapped some gun supports in a box. This thing is professionally done, at least it sure looks like it. The way the guns load, the presentation, the color, the glass top...it is a true gun enthusiasts masterpiece.

Dammit. I can get paid for this?

Just wanted to help Strad out. He did me a favor, and I am returning it in a small way. I know he wants to move it, and whoever gets in I will be quite jealous of, but that is common for a poboy like me. LOL

Alright!! We can talk about this now??!!

I just bought a house, and have no furniture. I'm a single guy and I have no interest in frilly, flowery BS.
I've had internet envy of this coffee table since it was first shown here.
I was thinking of making one of my own, but copying Strad's project would be ultra lame.
If I could stem the tide of my 'new house' cash flow hemorrhage, I'd likely already own a bunch of cool **** like this.

Buy this, Or I will..

Wow! Thanks for the ringing endorsement! Rest assured, if I had a bigger house, or thought I would be moving into one any time soon, there is no way I' sell this.

I bought a Mosin off of Strad 2 weeks ago and had first hand experiance at seeing this sweet looking table...He had a few other mosins in it and look awesome...Tried talking the wife in letting me bring it in the house and basically was told that it would be a waste of money for something to be just sitting in the garage!!!!! So I got the hint...

Wish I had a man room...This would be the perfect fit for it....Truly a work of art...Put your own rifles in the cabinet and you have a great senter piece if conversations every time someone came over to visit...

Wish my wife was a gun freak like myself!!!!!!!!

i don't think the question was how much is he paying you for the review and publicity of his totally awesome table/crate, i think it was more in reference to

good luck with the sale, Mr Whovious. even though you're a Green Bay fan, and look goofy enough to be one too, you're an alright guy ;)
