Interesting idea, but I'm skeptical without some independent reviews. The question is whether the amount of movement in the rail is repeatable for a given adjustment. With a good scope, turret adjustments are very precise and very repeatable, but the adjustment mechanism is internal to the scope. With this device, the mechanism is external, and the rail is what moves. It seems to me it would be more susceptible to errors. Out to 300 though, it might be good enough.
The big advantage I see is that unlike a BDC reticle, you can replace the adjustment wheel for different velocities/bullet weights, etc. it's an interesting idea, especially for hunting at known distances.
