Green laser for AR

Postby Snolan4571 on Sun Feb 15, 2015 7:01 pm

It seems that no matter which green laser I look at that falls into the affordable category, they all seem to have as many BAD reviews as they do good ones.

It looks like it is a fifty fifty chance when they come from the factory as to whether they work as intended. Have bought three different makes/models in the 75 to 150 dollar range and had problems with all three.

Does any of the locals on here have any better experiences?

If so please share with your recommendations.

What I am specifically looking for is.

Green Laser for AR platform- rail
Decent daytime view but not most important item
Decent laser spot at 100 yards. Bought one where the spot was bigger than target at 50 yards.
MUST retain settings for sight-in. Most important quality.

Thanks in advance,
Steve

A good shooter practices until he consistently hit a target - a "great" shooter practices until he cannot miss his target!

No personal experience but have you considered a DBAL unit? Should do what you want and more.

If you want a legitimate laser for a rifle that is going to be reliable and durable, you need to drastically increase the amount of money you are willing to spend. The DBAL is a great option, but you'll pay for it.

Start here and look at these as what you should be buying:

This topic made me wonder, can you use a laser to hunt anything in MN? After a quick google search looks like no.
