WTB AR rear sight

Looking for an AR rear sight.I prefer a fixed sight,or maybe not fixed, but one that does not flip up/down and has elevation adjustment.A flip up/down might work.I just don't see the point of having a sight that I can't adjust for elevation.

I admit that I'm not an AR guru, but I thought elevation adjustments were typically handled with the front sight, and windage with the rear.

For the person who would like a flip down rear sight and elevation, I would recommend one from Knight's Armamanet Co. I was able to find a used one for a very reasonable price.

You haven't made elevation adjustments with the front sight (except under certain conditions) since the adoption of the M16A2 and it's adjustable rear sight.

I always adjust the front post. I was always told the elevation on the a2 rear sight is more for distance adjustments.

So you have an A2 rear sight, but you are making all of your elevation adjustments on the front sight? That seems needlessly complicated and tedious. :?

I meant for initial sight in :P ha everything after that is on the rear sight, though I'll admit I don't need to make many adjustments after sight in. I don't get to shoot past 100yards very often.

Nobody noticed that whoever made that instruction lives in backwards land.

Gotcha. I thought that seemed a little weird. ;)

Like an LMTL8A.A2 (A3?) style.

"Nobody noticed that whoever made that instruction lives in backwards land."

You mean because the instructions are backwards?

Up equals up?

I've got a lightly used one of those laying around. Tab on the bottom was ground slightly to fit a slightly smaller than spec pic rail slot, doesn't affect anything, and can't be seen unless you take it off and look at the bottom. Send me a PM if you are interested.

Like an A2 without the carry handle? I didn't realize it had a specific name like that.
