Do you want the Zeiss that was on it? Is a Conquest 3-9, and it doesn't suck.

I would sell it to you for less than the 399 you're looking at, and the quality isn't even close.

If you can get the conquest for the price goalie is offering, that is the deal to go with for sure.

^^^ +1 ^^^^^ I don't believe you could find a better scope for the price goalie is offering. Zeiss is Top Quality glass. I use Nightforce on my competition rifle, because I got a GREAT Deal on it and the deal made it in my price range. If I ever get the funds to build my second comp gun, I hope to have the funds for either a Zeiss or another NF.

As far as Diameter of the scope, they make different height rings that will accommodate any scope you want on it. Just make sure you get the right rings, for the Tube Diameter. Usually the 1" or 30 mm are most common, but I'm seeing a lot of long range shooters going to 34 mm tubes (helps give greater Mil or MOA range on the scope).

I stopped hunting in 1999 when I was badly injured. I hope to one day, get back out to at least take one more deer. I'd also love to go hunt some wild hogs as well.

Once you get a scope on the rifle, don't forget to post a picture of it.

He's got the right mount already.

I can say that with 100% certainty. ;)

Nikon's MONARCH 3 2.5-10 BDC will work great for the uses you described. The MONARCH glass is very clear and excellent in low light conditions. Plus it is backed by Nikon's No Fault Policy in case something happens to it. The BDC reticle is easy to dial in with Spot On and very accurate. I have worked with groups who have blown up jars of tannerite at 600+ yards using Spot On and a BDC reticle. Come is under $400 too. Check out some MnGT's sponsor's to see if they can help you out even more. I have the same rifle that my Father In-Law uses when he comes to hunt with me and it wears a PROSTAFF 5 3.5-14 BDC with Side Focus Parallax adjustment. He likes the scope and at 82 years old he isn't interested in letting me upgrade it for him.

If anybody else is looking for a scope, MidwayUSA looks to be trying to move a bunch of Leupolds, pretty good deals including factory refurbs.

You, sir, now have the complete killing machine.

No pressure, but it hasn't missed an animal yet.......
