I have one somewhere as I haven't used it in many years. I bought it for like $20 at cabelas, It doesn't do any better than eye balling it for short distance and as you get further out then gravity comes into play anyway. (Lasers only go straight, bullets fall)

IF you do decide to get a cheap boresight (they all are) chuck it in a drill and spin it. Have not seen one that is actually centered so before you can use it you probably need to fix it first.

Yukon, another thought. You talked about using an indoor range. What distance do you plan to zero your rifle at?

A 50 yard zero for the grendel will have you very close at 100. A 25 yard zero will have you very close at 200.

You should be on paper without issue if you head over to BPR and use a rifle bay at 25 yards (minimum they let you shoot) then if you want zero for close to a hundred run it out to 46 or whatever they have and you'll be in the ball park for going outside.

Here's the 200 yard zero I had posted prior.

Sand bags on order. Caldwell prefilled with corn media. Also ordered 2 unfilled weight bags for the lead sled.

Great ideas all. Thank you for your help and sage advice. Not sure when the blessed event will happen but I hope soon. BPR is a good idea for first shots until I can get somewhere to stretch it's legs a bit.

Thanks again, round of cyber libations to you all on me. Cheers.

How many people use levels when mounting there scopes?
I have a Tipton vise and a Wheeler set like this and have been quite happy with my results looking thru the bore and adjusting the scope to match.

I used roof line of neighbors house about 225 yards away to level crosshairs, until he put a sign in window that said "Don't Shoot". :D
