I guess I’m not sure what rule of gun safety you are talking about violating...

The gun is loaded. He knows that.

He kept his finger off the trigger until on target.

He is sure of the target and what is beyond.

He is willing to destroy what it is aimed at... if his product doesn’t work. That’s the whole point of the demonstration.

Now, whether it is wise to do so is another argument.
