FFL in Ham Lake is $10. I was really thinking about the 67 from the original post for $199 the 64 doesnt look to be quite so good of a deal. Since the original has been edited is everyone sure about what there buying?

If it's not too late, put me down for one. For that price, you can't go wrong, even if you can't convert it to SA/DA.

If you're talking about Jerry I am also reasonably sure JG has his FFL on file.

Anyone got contact information for either "Jerry" or the $10 Ham Lake FFL (if they aren't the same person)?

Well, I suppose to get this accomplished, we'd need to have one or two folks volunteer to collect all the money in advance so an order could be placed using one credit card. Shipping costs appear dependent on how many guns are purchased/shipped at one time, so that total would need to be divided against everyone's share. Should also contact an FFL ahead of time to discuss pricing and willingness to do all the transfers when the guns show up at his/her doorstep.

I can't count how many times we've proposed and discussed a group buy on something like this but then it falls apart because of the details--especially the money collection part. When even small midwayusa group buys seem to lead to issues, a $1500 order like this one is a lot of work for one guy to handle. Suggestions on how we could make this process smoother would be appreciated as I think we end up losing some good deals when we don't follow through.

Just a thought, but it seems there are a couple FFL's on here, maybe one of them would be willing to do the order then transfer? Even if someone backed out, you would think they would be able to offload what they are stuck with to recoup the cost at a show or in their shop?

1. Paypal or equivalent system for collecting the money. This makes it eminently and instantly clear if someone is serious or not.
2. A FFL that we always use and attends our social functions and is willing to do cheap transfers(at least on group deals).
