They won't get ordered until next week, I would guess. It's going to take a few more people to get to 144.

Agree with Spike. I am going to be on vacation next week too. I'll be checking in, but less frequently than the nearly full time online of the last few weeks LOL (love medical leave).

I will probably jump sometime next week then, I'm in for an unconfirmed, but likely, 3.

If we get close and its a tad early for you, I can cover a few. I'll count you in for 3, let me know if you change your mind.

What's the price at 144? Depending on price, I'd be in for 6-12.

$11.75 each plus whatever shipping is for a pallet/144 cans. I should have shipping cost tomorrow.

Wildfan1, thanks for your willingness to organize this. In an effort to help the cause to get us to the 144 needed, please bump the number I'll take from 6 to a total of 15.

As long as shipping doesn't add too much to the $11.75 price, I'd be in for 5 or so.

Also, this is just a thought, but what about doing a large group purchase like this with the guy that seems to be at most of the gun shows around here? I don't have his contact info, but doesn't he sell them at less than $10/ea?

Guess I'd be suprised to see NEW ones going for under $10 each. Maybe the beat up old spray painted ones....

Oh...They are NOT new by any means, but they always looked to be in decent shape and have original paint and markings. I just thought if we could get them for less than 1/2 of these new ones it may be worth it.

OK, got the reply. Shipping is a bit more than I thought it would be. considering these are new cans, if there is enough interest I'm still in.

Shipping is $240, or $1.67 per can. Total then is $13.42 per can out the door.

Everyone please confirm if you are still on or out with that information.

Thanks for doing the legwork on this, after considering the total with shipping I think I'll pass for now. :? After looking around based on the updated pricing I came up with this option:

http://wideners.com/itemdetail.cfm?item_id=6940&dir=

9 x "grade A" 50 cal cans + desiccant packet with each, $105 shipped ($11.67 each delivered)

If anyone is after the big 40mm grenade cans I saw CC Military Surplus in Brooklyn Park had lots in back at $20 a pop.. I like them for boxes of shotgun ammo given the lower weight density compared to brass cased ammo which works better in 30/50 cal cans.
