Black Fridat Safe on sale at Menards

Menard's has a six-hour sale that includes a half-price ($500) safe by Sentinel.

Anyone familiar with this brand?

I have two smaller handgun safes by Sentinel. One with a keypad, the other with a fingerprint reader.

They seem to be well made. Not sure what the fire rating is but I'd buy another. I was actually looking at the menards one there, but I've nowhere to put it at the moment.

Also looks like the same safe and same price with a different badge is one of the door buster sales at Cabelas.

According to Menard's add, it's a Stack-On safe.

Yes it is.
Does that mean $500 is too much to ask for it?
The internet opinions for Stack-On vary. Is it cheap junk, or is it good enough for what it is.
I've heard it weighs 500 lbs. and has 12 ga steel.

I'm not convinced that is a good deal. I bought the 24 gun Stack-on safe. It weighs about 150lbs. It does the job but I payed $300 at a pawn shop brand new.

It was a great deal. You could have looked at them at the store prior to sale. You could spend hundreds or thousands more, you have to decide what the capabilities of the safe need to be. More = $.
