In regards to buying a lower from Brownell's-
Will they sell a receiver to a non-FFL customer and ship it to an FFL?
I made an inquiry to them and have yet to get a response.
I'd have no problem backordering one if I knew the order wouldn't get cancelled due to me not having an FFL.

Sure, but only if your FFL has his license already on file with them. If not, he'll have to mail them a notarized copy of his FFL (they won't take a fax like everyplace else).

You call Brownells up, order it, pay for it, and they'll ask you who your FFL is. If he's on file, they'll send it to him. When it arrives, you go in, pay him the transfer fee, fill out the 4473, take it home.

Note that you can call Brownells and ask them if your LGS' FFL is on file with them, or they might be able to find an on-file FFL close to you. The lady that does that (Kathy, IIRC) doesn't usually work outside of normal business hours, there might be someone else that handles that on a weekend though, IDK.

Emails to companies like Brownells can be hit or miss. They are better set up to handle these kinds of issues and questions on the phone.

Thanks,
That answered as well the second part of my question to them: Whether on not the posted copy of Burnsville Pistol Range's FFL would suffice.
