I placed a call on the 11th. I still had 2 years to go with my annual membership, they can keep it as a donation, I'm a full life member now as is one of my Airmen who jumped on the moral phone like a fat kid on a cupcake.

My CC has been charged and showes as NRA*MEMBERSHIP $300 with a transaction date of 1/14 and a post date of 1/15.

I'm deployed right now, prices for gun stuff is stupid high and I've been waiting for an opportunity to join for life at the $300 rate. The stars aligned and I made the jump. Will you join US!?!

I should also say this, I waited on hold for 38 minutes after calling the normal care line. I didn't have my current member ID number handy since I left my card 7000 miles away.

NOTE: used a credit card (not debit card); can always do a charge back if it's a scam.

Update: today I finally saw a charge on my credit card for...

NRA*MEMBERSHIP

Nothing has come in the USPS Mail or via email as of yet. We'll see what happens next...

UPDATE: still nothing from the NRA. I called the number listed at the beginning of this thread and they told me to call the main NRA membership number. They didn't transfer my call; I had to hang up and dial the number. After 45 minutes I had to hang up as my cordless phone was going dead. I emailed them tonight - hopefully they will reply. I'm getting close to the 30 day point where I may be doing a charge back.

It took over 30 days for me to get anything for a regular annual membership. I'm thinking they're so overloaded right now its going to take some time..

Anyone know if I could upgrade to life and get some credit for my just purchased annual?

I'll give you a big kudos? When I went to life membership, I had some time left on my membership but they were unable to credit it ... That was several years ago now and they were less swamped then

I was 1 year into a 5 year membership when I took advantage of a similar deal a year ago.
The difference in the regular life membership was $1200?...$1500? vs the $300 deal. I think that was the first time they did the $300 deal; this is only the 2nd or 3rd.

They replied back and all seems good. Guess the good things take time and are worth waiting for.

Tom Gresham mentioned on GunTalk that the deal runs through the end of February.

My packet arrived today, overseas! I received a fancy certificate, two window stickers, a patch, lapel pin, survey, letter and insurance documents.

I got a snazzy hat a few renewals ago when I signed up at Cabela's. I suppose those got a little expensive. My member pack hasn't arrived but it did hit my credit card.
