FF in Brooklyn Park has an absolute crapload of AKs, all in 7.62x39 from what I could see, as well as a couple of those $2,000+ Korstogs. Some 5.45 and 7.62x54R spam cans but otherwise no pistol ammo whatsoever and no .225/7.62x39.

( And can I just say that I'm really amused to see some of those Korstogs showing up on Armslist already? They aren't exactly flying off the shelves at list price, guys, good luck trying to get $2600 for one. :D )

We find it humorous on one hand, and greedy and selfish on the other. We put out rifles for guys who want to use them, that's what they are built for. We don't build and sell rifles for others, small shops, and individuals to buy and re-sell at a higher price. I am all for capitalism and I get there are consensual sales but I would much rather see all our rifles go to the end user. The Jager has been selling pretty well, its not a cheap gun, but it wasn't built that way either. Its build and priced to be a high precision rig. If you look at similar high end precision builds from high quality brands you will see our rifle is competitively priced or priced better. I was shooting mine to day with Mike, he does R/D and testing for us as well as now shoots for us, we had a great session. Granted we were at our indoor range which is only 50 yards, but it was easy to shoot same hole groups. I can't wait until our outdoor practice area opens up and we can get some more distance as so far they are shooting amazing. I'm really looking forward to next months MN 3 Gun Group Match at MG&F, hopefully I can make it as they have a little further rifle targets.

Sorry for the derail, I think its cool you guys have a thread on our inventory! ARs are starting to trickle in, customer notifies are being called and then products will be on the shelves AR wise. We haven't raised our prices on anything Huldra or Korstog, however you will notice the pricing slightly higher then before. I know what you're thinking and what I just said. Our biggest complaint was people who bought a rifle don't have mags. So we are now including a mag package with every rifle, every rifle now comes with 6 mags. Thats the reason for the adjustment in price is to include the mag package.

Thanks,
Dave

Dave, any chance I'll see an X-PRE at FF anytime soon? I'm in the market for a 3-gun rifle as it were and would love for it to be my first piston AR.

Not to be a smart ass or disrespectful, but aren't you guys also buying rifles and selling for a higher price? Some "small shops" literally had their inventory channels dry up completely, so if a few of us bought and sold Huldra/Korstog rifles to other parts of the country (that would not have access to your brands otherwise, since they are exclusively sold in the upper Midwest) at a profit, please forgive us. I am guilty of doing this a couple of times myself, and I don't view it as "selfish" or "greedy"...it's just business.

Just like FF is not "greedy" for selling guns at a profit.

I'd been having mixed feelings about this thread (beast?) I'd created to try and help the community track down ammo and other scarce resources during this crazy time. I've watched the trend recently on some other popular shooting sights (AR15.com and Rimfirecentral.com in particular) where similar threads were ultimately killed due to the direct correlation between deals that were posted and almost immediate sell-out of a posted vendor. It's pretty clear based on data points provided there that, while somewhat helpful to the community, the greatest benefit to these sorts of threads and "I just found X" posts is to further fuel the reseller/hoarder buying frenzy (primarily by "guest" browsers).

If the mods are willing to do so I would like to propose locking this thread, if someone has a specific need I think a "WTB" or "looking for" thread via which someone could reply via PM if they feel compelled to help would be a more constructive approach to helping people find the scarce ammo they are after while avoiding further feeding the reseller frenzy.

Lakeville got a large shipment of Winchester premium ammo in today about 3 cases each of .223, .308, 30-06, 7mm Mag, 270 and .22 LR. The .22 was gone in minutes. The .223 was $20/box of 20 and still had a case gone in an hour.

I've frequented this thread to see if my trips to FF would be fruitful or not. It helped out a couple times.

But, I agree. I'm saddened to see that this has turned from helping out those who need some ammo/mags and avoid wasting gas to check FF, into a place for vultures to check, clear the shelf, and then turn around and screw their fellow gunnies in the name of "capitalism."

Yuppiejr, your talking out of both sides of your mouth. You just posted somethimg about people selling their homes at inflated prices... Lets get real here, the guys getting the ammo are the ones in the store, not sitting at their compiter reading about what everyone else found. Ive been able to find approx 4k roinds since christmas, at retail price. Scumbags are going to be scumbags but hopefully this thread has helped at least one person who needs ammo to actually shoot.

Not really, I'm suggesting that in an attempt to help people get good deals on ammo "first source" from retail this thread is just as likely contributing to the very shortage that is making it hard to find in the first place. I don't have a moral objection to people making a profit, but the data I've seen indicates threads like this one are further harming the supply chain and likely helping folks turn a profit more than those just trying to find ammo to shoot. I did my own little test earlier this week and watched a relatively stable supply of ammo evaporate in a matter of an hour or two after posting a link to it here.

My perspective is a little less fuel on the fire may help everyone - if resellers want to do the legwork and find their own deals to dump on Armslist all the more power to them, that was not the intent of this thread originally, if you feel differently feel free to start your own. :) I suggested a more constructive approach to help people "in need" rather than broadcasting to everyone on the internet might be having people who need ammo to actually shoot simply post their own WTB/"looking for" type thread to which people could PM a response.

Not as you know it, the current Xpre-1 is extinct/retired. We are working on the Xpre-2, there have been some builds in the wild of ideas but final configuration isn't complete. We are hoping to announce the Xpre-2 later this year.

Thanks
