I am all for capitalism and I get there are consensual sales but I would much rather see all our rifles go to the end user.
Not to be a smart ass or disrespectful, but aren't you guys also buying rifles and selling for a higher price? Some "small shops" literally had their inventory channels dry up completely, so if a few of us bought and sold Huldra/Korstog rifles to other parts of the country (that would not have access to your brands otherwise, since they are exclusively sold in the upper Midwest) at a profit, please forgive us. I am guilty of doing this a couple of times myself, and I don't view it as "selfish" or "greedy"...it's just business.
Just like FF is not "greedy" for selling guns at a profit.
I do see what you are saying, I really do. I guess the main direction of my post was certain shops marking up our $1050 base model for the super low price of $1999

. Or taking our XPre's which sell at $2000 and adding a crappy scope and selling them for $5000. That to me is "greedy" and taking advantage of fear sales. I know there is money to be made but I don't have to agree with it. Like I said on the one hand I am happy that our products have that value, I mean wow. Yes we are in the business to make money, just like everyone else. If I don't do my job well and help the company move forward I fully understand I won't have a job. I also understand businesses, like yours, are meant to make money. I'm sure you have mouths to feed and bills to pay and a roof to keep over your head, I get that, I really do. Also though, a part of our business is selling to our customers, preferably direct, that's why we developed this product line and invested as much as we did. We, as a business, would rather have a product to sell on the shelf to one of our customers, rather then have a dealer buy it and sell it to someone else, that's our business. I can understand your point of view but when a guy (not saying its you but they are out there) buys X amount of rifles, sells them at grossly over inflated prices, gets mad at us when we run out, cut him off etc, and expects us to be his supplier, yeah I think he's being selfish and greedy when he has suspect motives of taking advantage of people. I love the shooting community, I really do. Come shoot a match with me and you'll see that. What I would love is to have a rifle for everyone who wants one, glad to send them a thank you gift, and help out any shooter whenever I can. I would rather help the community by getting rifles in the hands of our customers then see them go to dealers. No offense to you or your business, but again that's our business. Just like when "vultures" as some call them, swoop in ad wipe out the shelf of ammo for the purpose of making a profit. I'm sure you can understand if you were in our shoes. I am sincerely not trying to be rude but we each have an interest in a business and ultimately want to help customers, we would just prefer to do it direct to our local customers.
Thanks
