The last tine I tried to buy anything at SG was some Wolf 22lr ammo. Delivery was estimated to be 3-7 business days and a really good price if I was in the buyer's club.

So I opted for the buyer's club (and was immediately charged the $30), given the size of the order, the price of the buyer's club would have been worth it..

That Jan 2013

Within a few days I got the first of what would be many notices that the delivery date was pushed back. . . and back, and back to the point I stopped taking them seriously after the September notice. I found some ammo elsewhere for a bit better price; the buyer's club membership ultimately expired (1 year).

Granted this was during the height of the frenzy, but bottom line was for my $30 all I got was a bunch of emails, and a couple of frustrating phone conversations.

Maybe they operate differently now that they've classed up their web site a bit, but I doubt I'll ever find out.
