20+bricks of 22 blazer and 2 bricks of Winchester 525 at Brooklyn Park, some ak pattern rifles. Purchase limits being strictly enforced, one brick or 100 pack per person.
WTH......dang nabbit I was there at 11:30 and they didn't have crapola.....how irritating.
I was at BP around 230pm and there was nothing.
That seems fishy, I was in the store less than an hour before and there was at least 3 cases (30 bricks) of CCI Blazer 22 LR sitting right on an endcap and no mad rush to snap it up off the shelf, plus 3 boxes of Winchester 525 pack's making their way back from the front lanes where someone tried to ignore the daily purchase cap.
By the way - the store manager I asked said there is a one box/case of ammunition containing more than 100 rounds per person, per day - not just a single SKU. I could not buy a brick of the Blazer and the Winchester .22 LR on the same trip, for example... While I would not mind being able to grab more I can't argue that it's both necessary and effective to keep the hoarders/resellers under control right now. Seriously, every store/department manager I've asked at the retailers I've been checking
without buying limits says if you don't get there while or within 90 minutes of popular ammo hitting the shelf you are out of luck. Supply at Fleet Farm gets further tied up when *********** fill their cart with ammo and then get busted trying to buy it all at check out, which then ends up in a restock cart for who knows how long making it unavailable to other shoppers for a period of time... though it worked out well for me when said cart came rolling back right when I was looking in the ammo section.
While I'm on a rant, what's up with people who like to open boxes of ammo in the store just to take a look? Hopefully it wasn't one of you that decided to open one of the sealed bricks of Blazer right there at the endcap, pop out a box and then look at the ammo before putting it back on the shelf and grabbing a DIFFERENT brick to purchase... I assume if you're smart enough to own a gun you also know how to read and the whole "lead round nose" that Blazer prints right there on the box can be trusted... I've seen the same thing with those surplus cases of Yugo brass 7.62x39, some d.a. decided to check what was inside and pulled the wire tabs and tore open the zinc liner to check it out. Seriously? Come on people...
