I have NEVER seen any of these powders anywhere near $40 a pound at any local retailers worth visiting. Maybe at Gander Mountain, but nobody in their right mind shops there anyways. At the local shops I visit, its $20 at the most per lb, but most powders on that list, and that i buy are closer to $17/lb. Also, you may not get an overwhenlimg response here, since there is no guarantee (other than word of mouth from an unknown party) that there has been no contamination of the powder.
If you're reading this, there are better than even odds you are a d-bag.

Ditto... That would be a good deal for a 3 or 4 pound canister..

Well, if it's Marv, it's hardly an unknown source, and I wouldn't have any issue buying powder from him. Good deal to boot........

But still really confused as to the OPs claim of $40/lb at local stores........

Like you said, Gander is the only place I can think of that might get THAT crazy. The powders I buy from John are about $18 (Bullseye and Unique).

Red Dot was under $18 $ per lbs, tax included from John in the GS. Hearing John wipe the floor with some poor dumb schmuck, who didn't want to listen to John's advice and wants John to clean up his mess... priceless.
