Ammo

Postby wildfan1 on Tue Jan 08, 2013 10:04 am

I found an ammo manufacturer that will make ammo per order. It is their own make, so no name brand stuff. I do not have personal experience with it yet, but have heard good things. Pricing is competitive with name brand. It's not cheap like WPA, but it's not steel cased, nor dirty like WPA either. Lead time is 6-7 weeks for larger orders, and I can get smaller volumes in a couple weeks. Must be prepaid as that is what guarantees delivery. If interested PM me. Costs below:

9mm: $380/1,000 rounds
.40: $430/1,000 rounds
.45: $555/1,000 rounds
.223 is about $700/1,000 rounds, depending on your choice of bullet weight/type. Brass cased.

All prices before tax (good ol' Uncle Sam)

I can get the cost down a bit if we order large quantities. Waiting to hear the cost for 25,000 and 50,000 rounds of .223.

Matt

Do they make other calibers? I may be interested in 7.62x39mm and 7.62x25.

I'll ask. I think they make all calibers (or at least all reasonably popular calibers). I just asked about some of the popular stuff I know my customers shoot with regularity.

Not to whine but $700 for 1000 .223? That's $0.70 a round.... If it were $300 for .223 I'd be interested!

You get what you pay for. If you can find .223 brass cased, clean shooting, quality ammunition for $300/1,000, please share where, because I'll take several thousand.

And just to be clear, I understand where you're coming from. I usually shoot WPA for plinking, so I'm no stranger to junk ammo. But I know a lot of guess guys prefer brass, clean, etc. This stuff is comparable to the name brands in quality, and in price. One big difference....this supply is AVAILABLE

Who is the manufacture? I would be interested in looking at a list of the gr weights available in 223. I would also be interested in a "sample pack" of various weight 223 ammo. That way I could figure out which one my rifle likes best and go from there.

Apex Arms out of Iowa. New company. Very busy, so takes gun a day to respond at times, but very nice and looking to grow

UPDATE:

I can get roughly 12,000 rounds of 62 grain, both JHP and FMJ, available right now. $530/1,000 rounds. I can even deliver in the metro area for $10 per order on the 26th or 27th of this month.

Need to know asap to get this order in if anyone wants some.

How is it boxed?

20/box? 1000/box?

I can't afford 1000 rounds, right now. But I could swing a couple of hundred.

Well, if the deal goes through, you can put me down for 200 rounds, however it's boxed.

You guys looking for 9, FF Oakdale and Hudson had lots of 350rd count Blazer Brass boxes in stock about an hour ago. 79.99 each. They also have 40 and 45. Same price if I recall but a lower round count.

Any higher grain bullets available?
