5 month lead time?!?! Keep looking especially for the price.
Well, when I see 5 weirdos dressed in togas stabbing a guy in the middle of the park in full view of 100 people, I shoot the bastards. That's my policy.

Right now this deal seems too good to be true. A receiver engraved with your logo for only $150.00. Plus they state going rate on receivers of up to $600.00, which seems high but what ever. Does anyone know anything about this company? Any experiences with them? If they are a stand up company I think I'm game.

I looked at the link last night about 10PM. They had in excess of 2000 pcs for sale.
Now it's sold out...

I'd be interested - Anyone know if this is a reputable company?

Seems reasonably legit - they are an existing business according to a number of other sites... worth a shot, I ordered one.

Well, they got me too!

Worse case scenario, July first arrives before the lowers - The three of us can team up and bring forth the reckoning.

Got tired of looking for a lower, I kept getting email notifications when in-stock from different sites by the time I got to the site they were again. Facebook was also helping but the sites kept getting bogged down with traffic. I ordered one from Shadow OPS.

Forged vs Billet-

As one who bought into this deal, I now have a choice, as I suspect most others involved do, as well-

At this time, we are offering a FREE BILLET UPGRADE with our lowers. With this upgrade, we will provide matching uppers. To our valued customers like you, we have a very exclusive offer for the matching uppers, decisively making them "slick side uppers." You can have a detachable brass deflector on them, so you can choose to be slick side or have the deflector. Yes, patent pending! If you want this option, just let us know at dennis@shdwops.com and we will make sure that your order notes are updated.

I don't know squat about ARs, lowers, metallurgy.

Would taking the billet option be a compromise from a forged lower?

Keep in mind all the serius **** any AR I own is likely to experience on a day to day basis.

neither do I! :?

... but, from what I've seen, billet lowers/uppers typically go fer a premium! ... so, unless most everyone's billet lowers/uppers are a total scam, I'd guess they're purdy cool!

Frankly, I'm unsure as to how ya could go wrong with ... both?! Image

Bullet lowers generally look cooler as they have better milling and an integrated trigger guard. Ad long as it's made out of 7075 T6 you're not losing any strength over a forged lower as the walls are thicker.

So that's why billet lowers cost more. They're more taticool
