Ordered mine on Sunday April 2nd and it came in this week. Think I got the call from Roger that it was in at BPR on Wednesday 4/12. Picked it up yesterday and immediately ran some rounds through it along with my Walther PPS Gen1.

Initial impressions are good. I love the grip and trigger is good. Shoots really well. I was producing better groups with the shield than the Walther. It's a touch smaller than my PPS, but not much. Just a little shorter and a little less height from top to bottom when they each had in the shorter of magazines. I opted for the with safety version. The safety is small. It's easy enough to take it off safe with the flick of a thumb. Putting it back on safe is less simple but manageable. I think I'm going to feel better carrying this one vs the Walther. I just couldn't get used to carrying with a round in the pipe with the Walther because I always worried about and felt like I was going to snag the trigger and shoot my ass off when I holster it (IWB Aliengear holster at 4:30). Yes, I've watched videos. Yes, I've practiced. But just can't get comfortable holstering with a pistol that doesn't have the backup safety. One downside to the shield....damn, those magazine springs are stiff! Has to be the most difficult auto magazine I've ever loaded. Really difficult to get the second to last round in each mag and the last round was near impossible for me.

Haven't shot mine yet but I've heard the mag springs loosen after 350 rounds or so.

I would think so. It's a nice little shooter. Did my rebate online this morning. Still can't believe what a good deal this was. Roger at BPR told me he had four other Shields sitting on the shelf waiting for transfer when I picked mine up.

Did my rebate online this morning.

Did you receive any type of acknowledgment that your on-line rebate was received? I did my rebate application for a 45 Shield on-line too but there was no acknowledgment that the application was received or correct.

Thanks

No email confirmation. The page looked kind of random after I hit execute in the online form but it said "thank you" at the top. Think it went through but wish would have gotten an email confirmation from them.

I went back on the website and submitted it again and got the full confirmation this time. If you're at all unsure if it went through, I'd just submit it again to be certain.
