:o I just picked up a Sig P225/P6 for $299 @ Gander. Check out their newest circular. Sweet gun at an even sweeter price. I might have to grab another one this weekend  .

What do these normally go for? The Gander ad says $649.99 but you can't trust the "regular" price in advertisements. I can't really find anywhere else that sells this model.

You won't find them many places; they're the European style, with the mag release on the butt. Not very popular in the US.

Generally, you'll find well-used 226/P6s for around $350, when you find them at all. (I looked at one at GM in Lakeville yesterday; it wasn't pretty, although it probably functions just fine.)

I picked up another P225/P6 yesterday. Both of mine have standard push botton mag releases. I guess I got lucky!

PS - For a 25 year old import, they both shoot like new. Very tight and accurate :D .

Someone in Richmond, WA imported what seems like crates of these things a year ago, and the market has been flooded with them. I picked one up myself a while back and the going rate was $400. Then they dropped to $350, and now $299. Most have worn blueing due to holster wear, but many have barrels that show very little use.

The double action trigger pull is very heavy, as it's designed to fire NATO 9mm. The single action trigger pull is pretty pleasant. Parts are harder to get, like grips. I plan on replacing the mainspring on mine to make the DA pull better. After that I'll probably just enjoy it as a shooter.

Someday I may get a "real" P225 for carry.

The gander in Green Bay had fifteen or more of them, many in very good shape, all with the hook hammer and the proper (trigger guard) mag release.
