1911 Detail Assembly/Disassembly

Postby hammAR on Sat Dec 29, 2007 6:12 am

As there are a number of new or newer 1911 owners out there, I thought that it would be nice to help them learn a way to perform detail maintenance for their 1911, that is to say complete disassembly and reassembly for cleaning, repair, or replacement of parts, as opposed to just field stripping for cleaning.

There are a number of "vids" available for working on 1911's, however I like this one as it is broken into three parts, so if you are at stage of reassembly or just working on 1 component that you do not have to watch the whole video to get to where you want to be.

I really wish that we had a Technical Reference section, as I also have detail ass/deass for Glock, AR-15, AK 47, Remington and Winchester rifles, as well as some others. I know that we also have seen some on reloading, etc................ :?:

Perfect timing!

I just got my first 1911 so these will be very helpful.

Thanks hammAR.

Very good. Maybe this should be in the reference section?

Moved to reference.
