SOLUTION TO LOGIN PROBLEMS

Postby rucker on Sat Jul 28, 2007 11:10 pm

I believe the issue is that the forum was initially set up for http://www.tcshoot.com. I then switched to MNGunTalk.com but didn't change the cookie settings. Earlier tonight I changed that setting from tcshoot.com to mnguntalk.com.

I am pretty sure that if you just clear your cookies/cache the problem will go away.

Sorry for the trouble.

wait a minute, what url are you going to? You need to go to http://www.mnguntalk.com If you go to tcshoot.com or mnshoot.com it will kind of work but that whole mess is what is causing the problem. That will be straightened out soon.

Honestly there is nothing t o be sorry for. A few teething problemsis to be expected. In one two there was just under 1000 post's. There is no reason to be sorry because in actuality we should all be coffing up $ 5.00 apiece to help with costs. The amount of bandwidthwe have consumed deserves the fee's.

But thats my tupence.

But Sir you have no reason to say Sorry!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11

It is not fixed for all.

I cleared cache etc. Reset my Favorites to mnguntalk etc and everything was, apparently fine. I just posted a note, while duly logged in etc. in the Ammo section and when I clicked on the Board Index link I was kicked out to a generic page and was not logged in anymore.

Still a pblm somewhere.

Edited: I just posted in the Suggestions area, and when I left to the general Board Index again I had been logged out.

I got kicked off when trying to do a reply and couldn't log in again although at the bottom it said I was. Noticed that I was on TCShoot and not MNGuntalk. Went back to guntalk and I was able to log in and post again. I thought it was my firewall screwing up since it deletes tracking cookies automatically.

I am going to switch webhosts as soon as possible. Hopefully in 1 or 2 days. That should resolve the issues because I am not going to transfer the mnshoot and tcshoot domains. They just plain won't work. I don't really understand why this is happening currently. I blame somebody else  ;)
