Vacation II The Phoenix

Postby hammAR on Thu Jul 26, 2007 9:29 am

There have been a number of questions about where the kids have dispersed. It seems that there are three primary locations.

http://www.billsgs.com/modules.php?name=Forums
http://tcshoot.com/index.php
http://shootingsafely.com/phpBB/index.php

Some are at one, some at two, and some at all three.

It also appears that we are missing quite a few, so if anyone can reach out to those that are MIA, please do so.........apparently we can not use the TCC PM function anymore..............

Maybe I'm not that up to date on why TCC went on vacation. I saw the discussions and all the back and forth but I didn't see any real reason to shut the whole thing down and spoil it for the vast majority of users who found it to be a very useful forum.

It leaves a bad taste in my mouth and changes my opinion about the real maturity level of certain persons.

I feel the same way. I felt like I was punched in the gut. Oh well, Thanks rucker for setting this up!

From what I gather, there was some off-board discussions that fanned the flames...

Speaking of the "public face" brings up a question that may or may not have already been dealt with--one of the truly good things about the previous forum was the nonpublic section for members only, where certain more sensitive topics could be discussed out of the glare of the media, etc. I think, in some instances, that it was an absolute necessity. Are "we" (Rucker--do you hear how we are already feeling like this is a new community of us?) going to do that here?

I see Joel R. has added a link to this forum on his vacation announcement. Also some additional verbage to the original stuff. It should help the other members find this new forum.

He did shoot you a link though. That is how I found you. Your forum will never be the same. (especially with me and Brit on board.)
