I've never had a warning, should I feel neglected or left out? :(

plbark, may I suggest that you read the rules, I think they are pretty easy to understand.

Here is your post.
plblark wrote:If you own a 1911 and haven't tried one of these, the price is right for a great holster.

I am not going to cut and paste them all, but the one that pertains to your post that was moved to purgatory.
Responding to a valid question about the sale is acceptable.

Comments in general, negative comments on pricing, btt, ttt, free bump for seller, I'll take it, sweet deal, PM sent, etc. posts are NOT allowed.

I have had comments made in sale threads that violated the rules and took appropriate action. That same person, actually two must feel that he was being picked on and has now started to report posts that violate the rules, post just like plbark's. So the mods don't take actions on some, there are complaints the mods are playing favoritism with some members or the mods take actions and that person feels wronged. For those of you that feel that you have been singled out and point out other posts that the mods, or most likely I have not take action on, check the date. If that post is prior to 6 August 2012, it is grandfathered in. If the OP bumps his grandfathered in post after the 6 August date and their original post is in violation of the 6 August rules, they are notified.

Sometimes it seems like a lose/lose when trying to deal with the complaints on both sides. So may I suggestion to those that don't understand the new 6 August rules for the market place, either send a mods a PM for clarification, of don't post.

On another note, I have gotten a lot more positive comments about cleaning up the Market Place and keeping it just that by eliminating the BS.

If you need an example of a good sale thread, look here.

On a related side note.

For those of you that report a post, please cut & paste the heading to help the mods find the correct post. For some reason when a post is reported the mods only get the comment made by the reporter. So the mods then have to visually search the forum for that post which is highlighted. If there are 3 reported post and 2 mods trying to work them, it can become a bit confusing. So please when reporting a post, cut & paste the topic into the report.

Thank you.

I understand the temptation as I saw several but I resisted because the while thing is ***********.

That is a great holster for a great price. How would someone who hasn't owned one know that without feedback?

Maybe you could start a discussion under accessories and a prospective buyer could use the search function and find that information. Or do an internet search and find a vast amount of information on that item.

Also with your thought, how would a buyer know that it is not over priced? Or that you opinion is all wrong and of course another members feels that they should point out that fact based on their personal opinion, etc., etc., etc., etc., etc., etc., etc., etc.,etc., etc., etc., etc., and so on...........

The Market Place is for sales and not BS, therefore will be moderated that way.

Don't feel bad Paul. I got a warning for almost the same thing on Wrench's Mosin for sale post. Everyone complains about mosins that are $100+, I though it was a good idea to inform people that $150 was a STEAL for a Finn M91.

Apparently I was wrong.

My warning has made me realize the error of my ways.

You got this from one of the mods? :?
Now I would be interested in seeing that, please forward that PM to me. 8-)

Just trying to be fair and allow him to state or prove his case.

I checked my sent PM's for anything close and found nothing. I verified with Bender on his sent PM's and he doesn't seem to be the source. Paul seems to indicate that he isn't the culprit. So that seems to leaves... :bolt:

So all the complainers just missed out on a good deal. But you feel the need to point out what the complainers are missing out on and in turn maybe ruining the deal for a buyer that actually knows this is a STEAL but a bit infrequent on this forum?
So I guess strads comment would have fallen under price bashing? :?

Now if the sale was maybe lacking information that would make it difficult to determine the actual value of, or if an item is more desirable, ask the needed question of the seller to clarify.
