Do people actually read the FAQ?

I'm curious if people actually read the FAQ. I think I tend to ignore it on most websites but I don't know what other people generally do.

The reason I ask is because it is possible to add whatever you want to it in addition to the generic forum stuff. If people actually read it there is probably some common questions and answers we could throw in there. I don't want to waste my time if people, in general, never look at it though.

An announcement post, like you've got, with the rules (or other info) is a much better way to get the info out there, in my opinion.

I rarely read the FAQ pages unless I am looking for something specific.

I used to, but for some reason very few forum owners bother editing the basic FAQ included with the package. I'd still check it out if I had the need.

I think it's a good idea to use it, to have all the info in one place.
