No, I did not. This is just another figment of your overactive imageination.

That's a blatant lie.

1) How would you know who edited it if there was no tag?
2) It's not in the logs.

I have had enough of your trolling.

I do not get the behavior of some on the forum.

WHen you go to other peoples houses, do you piss on the carpet and take a dump in the potted plants?

This is not the real world, its Rucker's little slice of it, He owns it, and his rules stand. I liken it to going to someone else's house and they have a no shoes on the carpet and no smoking in the house rule, and for some reason this makes you want to scuff your shoes in Dog doo outside and smear it on the carpet while puffing on a nasty stogie just because you don't like the rule. Well grow up, its Ruckers house, and he has allowed a year long party in his house with really simple rules. I for one, really like the place, and I do not want it to go away, but many of those who we have had fun with are not showing up as much as they are tired of the shenanigans a few are pulling.

There are people here I really want to hear from, and there are people here who are really really trying to ruin it for everyone but
their own twisted self image. The edit rule was something he tried, it did not work as he thought it would but he also was MAN enough to say, OOPs I made a mistake, and changed it back.

Mods and Rucker, you have Way more patience than I would have.

Bypassing a ban via a proxy is computer trespass.

It may well be. Doesn't mean it's illegal though.

Ps. There is no statute in MN Session laws and rules that consider 'Computer Trespass' a crime. If you want to search for yourself, knock yourself out: https://www.revisor.leg.state.mn.us/pubs/
Other states seem to have something along those lines, but it revolves around whether the owner of the computer suffers any 'damages'. Tough to believe making a fake account to post a rant falls anywhere in there, huh?

+1. This is the first and only board that I have ever followed. I started by the recomendation of a friend. I have to day I do get a bit amazed at some of the things that are lobbed at others. I try very hard not to type anything that I would not say over a beer at Alarys or the Saturday breakfasts and if I ever do, I would hope that the Mods or others would reel me in quicky. Better to be silent and thought a fool that open my mouth (or type... ) and remove all doubt. That being said, I look forward to seeing you all on the 10th. till then, shoot straight, shoot often. Tom

That's related to hacking into a secure server or computer. Has nothing to do with an Internet message board.

If someone hacked into Rucker's board and took, say, all the personal data on the users (let's just pretend that there's something valuable there), then this statute would apply. But signing-up for an account from a different (proxy or otherwise) IP address is nowhere close to illegal.

You guys don't honestly think that any law enforcement agency would take whiney posts by banned users seriously, do you?

If rucker makes it illegal on his forum, well then it is illegal.

Illegal here, but not with the force of law. Hey, I'm all for following the rules, but let's not get silly.

I fully agree, but it seems that some of the silly crap that goes on, well there has to be silly rules to stop that silly crap. ;)

How do you know that everything on my account is the truth? How do I know everything on yours is? In fact, I'm sure it isn't on yours, unless you really are a member of a Royal family. However, that doesn't make your account illegal, nor you guilty of 'computer trespass' either.

Good luck at convincing a LE agency, followed by a prosecutor, then a judge, and finally a jury, that a member of a forum creating an alias to circumvent a 'time out' is committing a crime.

That law you cite is intended to combat 'hackers', not whiners.

You are losing sight of the original complaint/question here, which, in case you hadn't noticed, was resolved about 2 pages ago.
