Who is responsible for this site?

Postby System7 on Fri Aug 10, 2012 11:28 am

I ask because there are some programming bugs. I am a php developer and i am willing to fix for free.

Most annoying bug:
searching posts using the search box creates this error -

[phpBB Debug] PHP Notice: in file /includes/functions_content.php on line 242: preg_replace() expects parameter 4 to be long, string given.

Simple fix. Takes two seconds. Cintact me if you need help.

Also, thanks for providing this great forum!

I dont know who is hosting, or responsible for hosting this site.

But one of the Moderators is 'Paul' on this site. I would PM him for information.

The owner of this sit has all but abandoned it, from what I'm told. The moderators do their best, but no one can make the upgrades that are critically needed.

Then why dont we steal the site, and move it somewhere where it can be hosted and maintained properly? Granted, saying that is WAY easier then actually doing it. I would think the mods have the ability to dump the mysql db for the usernames and posts, use winhttrack for the rest of it, and get whomever owns DNS to point it somewhere else.

It seems kind silly to be running an active board that no one has control of. But, that is just me. And I am a server huger at heart.

It is free. And we have two people (System7 and myself) who are willing to put some work into it, for free.

I am not trying to 'take' any thing from any body...but I get what you are saying.

If the site owner is MIA, who is responsible for all the new unnecessary laws thrust upon us last week?

site questions and concerns are directed to the global moderator account. when you go into PM's, look on the upper right hand corner of the screen a tthe groups box asnd there should be a line for global moderators.
