OK, so we've gotten to $340 ...

How high can we get this thing to go and what will it take to convince you of the value you get out of this?

I find more useful info here than in any of the gun mags I subscribe to and they're all at least $15 a year
I pay $85 a year for a gun club membership and have as much camaraderie and fun at the range with people from MGT as with people from my gun club.

Id say that we could double it by tomorrow if people pulled together, and pitched in.

Maybe we need to hadle this like a NPR Pledge Drive. Every three or four posts, we should post a 4 page yawn fest about how informational and fun this community is, and how Rucker has made this all possible out of the kindness of his heart (and wallet, as he foots the entire bill for hosting by himself), never, ever asking for a thing in return.

Or, people could just admit that the service this forum offers them is worth $15 or $20 once (or several times) a year, and pony up.

I would prefer the latter, as would the rest of us, I'm sure.....

Well, my forum worth is being called out here in front of everyone. I normally do my donations in private because that is the kind of guy I am. But since you want to pull my punk card I guess I will have to inform you that I have actually donated to Rucker. How much is enough, maybe I need to do more on my part? Or maybe I gave more than you? Either way who gives a ****?

You know what this looks like? Nauseating, mindless, childish, ********, but I'm sure its just me.

plblark no need to pm me again, and just so everyone knows I will donate more money next time I see someone from the forum and get a receipt to post just to prove my interweb worth, and to let other people know what I have done. I dont use PayPal they are gun grabbers. Merry Christmas I hope to meet your standards in 2010.....but dont hold your breath.

Justa: you're right, my polite PM was clearly over the line:
Justa,
can you take the trainwreck elsewhere please? I'm trying to drum up support for Rucker, not provide a stage for the voices in all our heads.

plblark,

You know what? I was wrong. I posted in a thread on an interweb forum and that was way out of line. This is serious **** and I let my fellow forum members down (routine, I know) and feel terrible about it. I should have taken your PM to heart and gotten serious about this ****, but instead I laughed and made jokes about it. I want you to know that I'm going to try and turn my life around and not be such a prick, and take this **** more seriously.

From now on taking this **** more seriously,
