Forum Maintenance (DONE)

I have been testing out the new hosting and I think it's going to be great. I also have been experimenting with the forum settings and I think I have figured out how to prevent our login issues. Also, after only a couple of days of operation we are using 4% of our resources so I think moving now would be a good idea

The forum will be unavailable starting at midnight on Wednesday August 1st.

I was just notified by the current host that at some point we exceeded some unknown metric of CPU usage. We aren't going to be shut down, but we do need to move soon. To be on the safe side I will be moving the forum Wednesday night.

At that time I am going to move the forum to the new hosting. DNS changes officially take 24-48 hours but for the vast majority of people it will be working within a few hours.

There are several advantages to the new hosting:
-New host has much better reputation for reliability
-Will possibly be faster
-notification emails should get sent much more promptly
-Will be using newer versions of software.
-Will be able to use attachments. This means you can upload photos directly to the server and display them in your post.
-I have figured out a lot of the little issues we are having and they should be corrected on the new install
-Won't outgrow it for a long time

We will not lose any data. When the forum comes back up everything should be the way it was when we left.

Global DNS now updates in realtime. (The 24 - 48 hours was back when it was only updated daily.)

I recommend setting your TTL to 5 minutes, so people won't keep the old values cached for too long after the move.
